Household item bliss!

I've been thinking this week about household products that I am absolutely grateful for.

1. ziploc bags. These things are my very favorite invention. I use them at least 500 times a day....cannot live without them. I love the sandwich bags, freezer bags, quart size, gallon size, and the new huge storage bags are wonderful. You have to admit, the ones with the little zippers are just plain cute. If I'm running low, I start to panic!

2. the swiffer. Ahhhhhh....I love my swiffer. Although I think they are WAY overpriced, they are worth it. Dear Mr. Swiffer, My clean wonderfully smelling floor thanks you. The little dusters are pretty wonderful too.

3. Cascade complete. Holy cow are those little action packed square dishwasher detergent jet packs the best! Thanks to Sarah Collette, I use them faithfully. Not only are my dishes cleaner, my glasses no longer have film, my plastic ware is free from spots, and my dishwasher seems to be doing its job a little better. If you haven't tried these little wonders, you are missing out on dishwasher bliss.

4. wipees (as there called in my house), aka: baby-wipes. How did moms ever get along without them? I use them for everything. They are great for little and big butts, little and big hands, little and big mouths, spills, potty training problems (urgh!), and many other uses.

5. Hand sanitizer. Although i think this little invention has made me more of a germaphobe than I already was, it makes me feel a little cleaner. I love the little bottles that I can keep in all of my bags. If I am without it, I feel icky!

6. Paper plates. I think these are a necessity for any busy household. Somedays, its a paper plate day cuz I get so sick of having so many dishes to do.

7. Hamburger helper. It doesn't make the best meal, or the yummiest meal, but it is a "great" meal :) I'm just glad that if I'm completely out of dinner ideas, the little white glove is always there to fall back on. My favorite is the Stroganof with some frozen peas thrown in.

8. Facebook. Not a household item, but I love it. It helps me feel real. Need I say more?

Ditto. To everything you mentioned. Except Hamburger Helper. I had a bad pregnant experience with that once..... never again ;) Thanks for the shout-out, I'm glad you're converted.... I miss you and your darling family.

I'm with you on most of those too. I do homemade hamburger helper. It is way better and doesn't take much more time than the box stuff. I use an old rag on my swiffer instead of buying refills. I would also add sippy cups, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and my Shark Sweeper.

I am also a huge fan of baby wipes...they are pretty much a must for sticky hands! Your kids are darling and I loved your Halloween costumes, I can never get my husband to really dress up!

Yes Baby Wipes! Even though my kids are potty trained and I don't need them I'm going to continue to stock them because they are such great carpet and clothes cleaners too and hand and face wipes.
