Our Utah Road Trip

To celebrate Jonathan finishing school, we wanted to get out of town. We decided to take a Utah road trip. The first night we stayed at the Sorenson cabin in Fairview. It was the perfect temperature and we saw some deer and wild turkeys....pretty exciting!

We then headed off to Castle Dale where we discovered that the Castle Valley Pageant was being held. After we had dinner at the Castle Dale lamb fry (yum!), we headed to the pageant. Addison really enjoyed that show.

The next day we went to Goblin Valley. It was so so so so hot, but we loved seeing the rock formations.

After Goblin Valley, we headed to Capital Reef National Park. It was there that Addie completed her first 2 mile hike (with less than 20 complaints....I'm hot, I'm tired....etc, etc.).

That night we stayed in Torrey, UT, ate a yummy overpriced dinner, swam twice and then headed home.

I have to say that we are experts in traveling in a VERY small Geo Prism over 600 miles through the small towns of Utah. I hope that it is the last trip we take in our little reliable Geo (we love you Geo!!).

What fun! That's a great idea to explore Utah. I have to laugh at Connor in the next post puttin' everything on himself - I completely understand...Kensie is the same way. If you had one child and a maid then maybe you could keep everything out of reach. We also went to Goblin Valley in the hot hot. Craziness! How's the pregnancy going?

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Thanks for coming up to Fairview with us, or even answering the phone so we knew you were ditching us . . . again! :0) It has been forever since I have seen you guys. I hope you are coming to Nats on Friday, it would be fun to see you.
