Well.....Jonathan made it through Nursing School. I can't even believe that he is done. This has been a 3 year process. So, I thought I'd tell our story of how we got here in our lives (even though it might be long and boring). If you don't want to read it, just look at the cute picture of Addison at 6 months old....that is my favorite pic ever!
So, 3 years ago, Addison was about 6 months old and Jon was going through a career crisis. He couldn't really find a job in his first bachelors degree field (Exercise science) that he would enjoy and make enough money for me to stay home with our children. His goal, is that I could stay home, have babies, make delicious meals for us, and that I could be happy (I really just wanted to be a mom). So, he began thinking about other options. At the time, he was a personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness. He trained this really nice lady who talked to him about nursing. He began considering it as a career. We prayed and prayed about what to do. In the meantime, I needed to quit my job. Addison was going with me every day and was becoming quite the handful, and I was annoying other co-workers. One day I had a very strong feeling that I needed to quit that very day. WOW....are you serious. So I shut my office door, prayed about it, called Jon, and he said "go for it!" So I did. Well,l we put our townhouse up for sale, it sold in 2 months, we moved to the village, and Jonathan started pre-nursing classes.
So then we started getting really nervous of what would happen if Jonathan didn't get into the UofU nursing program that he wanted. I don't think we have ever prayed about one thing as much as we did about that. AND, Jon got in!! It is very competitive and a tough program. What is good is that he will have a BSN (Bachelor of Nursing), and it was a 14 month program (4 straight semesters).
So after 8 years at the University of Utah....Jonathan walked off the campus for the last time today. He is done!! I am so proud of his hard work and everything he has done. AND I am glad not to be paying anymore money to the UofU!!
Well, now he has to take the RN certification test in September. Meanwhile, he will be working at the UofU Hosp and we can finally get off of WIC, Medicaid, AND foodstamps. THANK GOODNESS. (Although, these wonderful programs SAVED us this past 1 1/2 years), and thanks for you tax payers for helping us get through school :), now we get to pay into the program right?
Jon's future career goals are to work for 2-3 years and then go to Nurse Anesthetist school (Nursing Anesthesia). So were not DONE, but we are on the path to being DONE!
Thanks for reading my story, and thanks for all of your support and love through this crazy time in our lives.

SOOOOOO proud of you guys!! You two inspire me...I was just telling Josh the other day that, if you guys can get through this, so can we. AND, I decided I want to be just like Jonathan, so I decided to sign up at Dixie for nursing, or radiology...can't decide yet. But, school is what makes the difference! Hopefully in a couple years we can be just like you ;-)
And lady, you BETTER call or text me tomorrow!!!!!
