Tribute to Connor

So, I guess you could say that Connor is my sunny island in a raging ocean. When I have the worst of days, and when I am sooo-o sick my whiny 3 year old, or just busy life, Connor comes bopping in with a big grin on his face just for me. He is a very active little boy with a whole bundle of curiosity. He has a few things that I would consider his favorites at is 15 month age.

1. The toilet. How a white porcelain bowl of water could produce so much obsession is beyond me. Connor just considers it a bowl full of water filled just for him to play in. Yuck! He is seriously so sneaky about it too. I'll be in the bathroom putting on my make-up or whatever and he will, right next to me grant it, ever so carefully and quietly lift the lid of the toilet seat and stick his hands in automatically. Urgh!! He has a 6th sense to know when the bathroom door is not closed (which is almost never!)
2. Food hunting. So, Connor will be totally done eating lunch or breakfast or dinner, I'm not kidding, 5 minutes later, he will come in with some of his sisters food left over from the table that he is eating. Half eaten pizza, apples, bread, applesauce, whatever he can find. He is very careful about it too. There have been a few times that he has found a whole bowl full of oatmeal on the kitchen table and has carried it all the way across the house without spilling. I joke that who needs a dog to clean up your scraps off the floor when there is Connor around.
3. The garbage can. How my son has not contracted a serious food born illness (or toilet born illness) is beyond me. If he can't find any food on the floor, his next move is the garbage. Yuck, yuck, yuck!

So now that you all think that I am a terrible mother for letting my son play in the toilet, eat food off the floor, and from the garbage, please remember that I am desensitized because Connor is into them at least 150 times a day. And those of you who think that I am REALLY a terrible mother, oh well!!

Some of my favorite moments with Connor is when he cannot find me and yells from across the house, "Ma-a." Or, when he is hungry he will hang on my legs and look up at me and say over and over, "Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma," until I feed him. I also love it when he wakes up in the morning. He is so happy to see me, his little smile melts my heart! He is such an easy going little boy. He loves everyone he meets, is NOT shy at all, and is really good at blowing kisses. He is my favorite little boy (so far anyway :).

Lisa, he's just a boy and all boys love the toilet and garbage, hence all the childproofing that went on in my house because I just couldn't deal with it anymore. I think it's so funny, just make sure to wash his hands before he eats. We all love Connor too, he is a joy. p.s. you're page looks so good, how did you learn to do that?!?!!?:)
