What we've been up to.

I just haven't been in the mood to blog lately! I'm so sorry. But here I am again. Here are some cute pics of the kids on Thanksgiving. Thanks Curt for your camera services!

Addie is turning 5 in 1 week. I can't believe how big she is getting. She loves preschool and still loves to draw and dance. She is a great big sister to her feisty brother and baby sister. Connor and her have been playing Santa for the past few weeks. They load "presents" or toys into a little sack and lug it around the house and then open presents. She is so excited for her birthday! She marks off the days on her calendar every morning (she keeps the marker under her pillow). I have been hearing about her birthday party for 12 months now :) She is a great kid!

A word to describe Connor would be....STRONG WILLED (two words sorry). He seriously has to do everything his self. He just turned three in Nov. He was potty trained, and then decided he didn't want to be so now he is in diapers. I have simmered and stopped pushing it. I have decided that it will have to be his idea, which is fine with me. I'd rather change diapers than wipe pee and poop off the floor 5 times a day. Connor is a sweet boy. He has a love for music. I can't believe how fast he picks up tunes and words, and loves to sing in primary. He has been a challenging kid for me that is for sure....but he is SO lovable when he wants to be :)

Brianna is just a sweetie. Babies are so refreshing! She is a great eater and great pooper! I love her long hair and little giggle. She still keeps me up at night, but I don't mind. I hate to see her grow up so fast. She will be 1 in Feb.....crazy! Where has the year gone?

What is up with us? Well...I am finally ready to admit this but.......I am the Relief Society President in my ward. Weird huh? I was shocked!! Mainly because I still see myself as a 20 year old kid that doesn't know anything. Actually, I still don't know anything, but I have to act like I do now :) No really, it has been a real challenge for me, but I love it and I am growing spiritually which is good for me. I guess I needed a kick in the pants in that department.

Jon is works hard and is a wonderful dad. I am so grateful that I can stay home with our children. What a blessing! I'm glad I got a good one! We love our house and our ward. We would love to finish our basement soon....hopefully soon! :)

I guess that was a long update....probably my longest post ever! I'm not much of a sentimental writer but thanks for reading!

I also love that I can stay home with my kids. I'm glad there are people who still have that as a priority.

Congratulations, if one says that for callings. Your ward will be fortunate to have you in that position.

On a more worldly note, back in your pre-married years, did you ever even suspect you would think, let alone say publicly, "She is a great eater and great pooper!"?

Hey Lisa,
Strong willed kids are fun huh. I just hope I can lean mine in the right direction and he will be strong willed for the good when he is an adult. Fun times in the mean time. Your patient to just let him do it when he wants to. I know that's the way it has to be, but after moving on to baby poop, I just couldn't do the big boy poops anymore. I just have to bribe him with a scoop of ice cream once a day. Oh well!
